Are you a driven and experienced Town Planner ready to take the next step in your career? I’m working closely with a leading real estate consultancy known for delivering some of the UK’s most high-profile and complex planning projects. They’re now looking to grow their Cardiff-based team with the addition of a talented Senior Town Planner.
The Opportunity This is a fantastic chance to join a national planning and development team that’s consistently recognised for its expertise, reputation, and collaborative culture. Based in modern city-centre offices (with hybrid flexibility), you’ll work across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments - often on high-profile or sensitive planning applications that shape communities.
You’ll be given autonomy, client-facing responsibility, and a clear path for progression. If you’re looking for somewhere that balances professionalism with a genuinely supportive and sociable culture, this is worth exploring.
Key Responsibilities: * Manage and deliver a variety of planning projects, including site appraisals, planning applications, and appeals
* Provide expert planning advice to a diverse client base including developers, landowners, local authorities, and investors
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
* Support and mentor junior members of the team
* Engage in business development and contribute to the growth of the regional planning offer
About You: * MRTPI qualified, with several years’ experience in a consultancy or local authority environment
* Confident working on complex planning applications and managing clients directly
* Strong knowledge of Welsh and UK planning policy
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ambitious, collaborative, and commercially minded
