About the Team
You’ll be joining the Governance & Operational Finance team – a key part of the Finance Directorate. This team is responsible for managing transactional finance processes, statutory returns, and financial controls that keep everything running smoothly.
The Role
As a Finance Operational Assistant, you’ll be involved in a variety of tasks that keep our finance operations efficient and accurate. You’ll work closely with colleagues to process invoices, expenses, and receipts, sharing responsibilities on a rotational basis.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:
*Processing customer and supplier invoices
*Matching invoices to purchase orders
*Handling invoice queries
*Processing staff expenses
*Reconciling supplier statements
*Setting up new customers and suppliers
*Supporting department budget holders
*Assisting with internal and external audits
What We’re Looking For:
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Good organisational and communication skills
*Ability to work well in a team
*Previous experience in finance operations or similar roles is desirable
