Year 8 Nurture Teacher – Starting January (Temp to Perm)
Sulhamstead, Berkshire.
Are you passionate about supporting young learners who need a nurturing and inclusive environment? We are seeking a dedicated Year 8 Nurture Teacher to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis starting in January.
About the Role:
*Teach and support Year 8 pupils within a nurture group setting.
*Deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, focusing on core subjects and social-emotional development.
*Create a safe, supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence and positive behaviour.
*Work closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff, and parents to ensure holistic support for learners.
*Contribute to individual learning plans and progress reviews.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Experience working with pupils who have social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) or SEND.
*Strong understanding of nurture principles and inclusive teaching strategies.
*Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
