Recruitment Director – Senior Finance Division
Location: London (Hybrid)
Reporting to: CEO / Managing Director
Team: 5–6 specialist finance recruiters (interim + permanent markets)
About the Opportunity
We are working with a high-growth recruitment firm that is scaling its Senior Finance Division, focused on placing CFOs, Finance Directors, Heads of Finance, Transformation Leads, and specialist accounting talent across Commerce & Industry and Private Equity portfolio businesses.
Unlike many leadership roles, this is a billing and people-leadership hybrid, meaning you will still own a desk, generate personal revenue, and build, coach and lead a team that operates at the top of its market.
This is not an SME advisory hire. This is a front-foot leadership role for someone who enjoys making an impact commercially, strategically, and culturally.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Team Leadership & Performance
*Guide and manage a high-producing finance recruitment team, creating clarity of direction, confidence in delivery, and operational excellence.
*Mentor consultants to maximise NFI, win ratios, client engagement, and long-term retention.
*Set the tone in leadership, professionalism, ownership, drive and integrity.
Billing & Commercial Delivery
*Run a 360 recruitment desk in senior finance, contributing directly to personal and team revenue.
*Convert market-mapping, networking, and strategic outreach into business growth and consistent placement delivery.
*Maintain oversight of client hiring needs in Commerce & Industry and Private Equity ecosystems.
Strategic Talent & Stakeholder Collaboration
*Shape role profiles with leadership and clients to align hiring needs with market trends.
*Assess team structure, performance, skills gaps and future hiring requirements.
*Support division growth planning, client hiring strategy, succession psychology, and long-term hiring roadmaps.

Your Key Experience & Strengths
Essential:
*7+ years of recruitment leadership experience at senior levels.
*Proven ability to lead and develop high-output recruitment teams.
*Technical recruitment expertise in senior finance mandates.
*Strong commercial mindset with confidence operating with CEOs, founders, investors, and senior stakeholders.
*Personal billing success, or the ability to extract and drive NFI through team strategy.
Nice to Have:
*Private equity or venture capital exposure.
*Experience placing CFOs, MDs, and transformation-related finance leaders.
*Evidence of building or scaling divisions or desks.

Culture & Brand Fit
You will thrive here if you enjoy:
*Fast-moving environments with evolving strategy.
*Balancing people leadership with hands-on client and candidate engagement.
*Owning growth commercially, without losing the human factor.
*Leading by example.
*Winning in the right way, with credibility, honesty, structure and trust.

What You’ll Get in Return
*Competitive salary + annual bonus.
*Personal and team-driven commission incentive model.
*Hybrid working (London based): 3 days per week office based.
*Private healthcare & wellbeing support.
*A clear progression framework into senior leadership roles.
*A high-support onboarding model designed to set you up to win from week one.
