Teaching Assistant – Full-Time (Southampton)
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Long-term, temporary (may be a permanent opportunity)
Location: Southampton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment in Southampton. This is a full-time role working closely with pupils who require additional support to engage in learning.
About the Role:
*Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally with prior experience in this area.
*Assist in maintaining pupil engagement and resilience in the classroom.
*Work with students who may occasionally leave the classroom or require encouragement to stay on task.
*No history of physical or aggressive behaviour – challenges are primarily related to low resilience and engagement.

*Experience working with SEN pupils is highly desirable.
*Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships.
*Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
*Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
