Job Title: Insurance Account Handler
Location: South Wales (exact location TBC)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
About the Company: A well-established independent UK insurance broker, expanding its footprint with a new office in South Wales. Known for high-quality service in both personal and commercial insurance lines, the business is growing rapidly and is committed to investing in people who want to build a long-term career in insurance.
Role Summary: You will join as an Account Handler - a pivotal and varied role that offers the scope to grow with the business. Ideal for someone with some insurance experience who’s ready to take the next step. You’ll be supported by a friendly, professional team and benefit from structured development, on-the-job learning, and the chance to shape your career path as the new office expands.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage and maintain insurance accounts - ensuring client and policy data is accurate and up to date, benefiting both clients and internal administration
*Handle client communications (phone/email), responding to enquiries and requests - providing service excellence and building client trust
*Assist with policy renewals, endorsements and quotations - helping to drive retention and growth
*Work closely with senior brokers and colleagues - gaining exposure to underwriting, risk assessment, and bespoke insurance solutions
*Contribute to the growth and development of the new office - allowing you to influence processes and structure as the team builds
Requirements:
*Some prior experience in an insurance role (brokerage, account handling, underwriting support, or similar)
*Strong communication skills - with confidence, liaising with clients and internal stakeholders
*Good organisational skills and attention to detail
*Motivation to learn and grow within a growing business environment
