Operations Manager – Education venue

?? Location: On-site at The Manor, Near Moreton-in-the-Marsh

Set in a unique and inspiring location, including a 17th-century manor house and on-site accommodations, the School offers a high-quality learning environment for professional qualifications and development.

We are currently looking for a proactive Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the School and play a key role in its continued growth and success.
About the role

This is a rare an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the operational management. You will lead a small, dedicated team and be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the site, developing commercial opportunities, supporting property development plans, and representing the School to learners, customers, and stakeholders.
Operational management

Oversee all day-to-day operations including facilities, accommodation, and on-site coordination.

Act as the primary point of contact for all operational matters, ensuring high standards of service and responsiveness.

Manage soft facilities, health and safety, and general operational budgets.

Provide support and guidance to staff and academic staff on operational needs

Provide occasional out-of-hours cover to support key events, arrivals, or urgent operational issues.
Customer & stakeholder engagement

Serve as the face of the School for learners, clients, stakeholders, and co-members.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Attend leadership meetings, and contribute to strategic discussions.

Foster a customer-focused culture by proactively seeking feedback and driving continuous improvement.
Commercial development & event management

Organise and manage events, ensuring operational readiness and excellent customer experience.

Manage occupancy and space utilisation to maximise revenue and efficiency.

Drive commercial growth by promoting the School as a venue for learning events and professional development.
Property development support

Collaborate with central Property team to support the ongoing development and maintenance of the site

Contribute to planning and execution of property-related projects, ensuring alignment with operational needs and strategic goals.

Assist with space optimisation and long-term infrastructure planning.
Who we’re looking for
*Proven experience in operational management, with a strong background in hospitality or education essential. Experience with facilities management is also highly valued.
*Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
*Commercial acumen and experience in business development or event management.
*Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems proactively.
