My client, a well known International Bank are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team. This role involves preparing financial reports, supporting regulatory requirements, and managing new project initiatives under the supervision of the Assistant Head of Accounts (AHoA) and the CFO. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of financial control and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day of the role: • Prepare the Head Office financial reporting pack including monthly, quarterly, and annual returns. • Support the financial reporting function and assist the Regulatory Accountant. • Assist in the completion of new initiatives and audit action items. • Manage new project initiatives and document procedures. • Prepare monthly Head Office Questionnaire, reconciliation reports, and various financial reports in conjunction with the Accounts staff. • Conduct daily Nostro Reconciliations in the absence of the Accounts Staff and monitor the Accounts Department suspense accounts. • Manage the accruals and prepayments process and ensure task descriptions are kept up to date and reviewed. • Classify all new accounts opened and prepare daily Cost of Funds (COF) reports and quarterly general provision calculations. • Prepare monthly CAPEX utilisations. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret new accounting requirements, including applicable US GAAP. • Experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
