Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm & 8:00am - 4:00pm (Rotational)

About the Role:
As my client continues to grow, they are looking for a Mould Maintenance Technician to join their team in Shefford. At the core of this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of an extensive portfolio of moulds. Responsibilities as a Mould Maintenance Technician:
*Take ownership of mould maintenance to ensure tooling is production-ready, safe, and correctly stored.
*Conduct routine inspections to detect and report mould wear, faults, or damage.
*Carry out minor tooling repairs and escalate significant issues to the Mould Engineering Manager.
*Keep precise records of servicing, condition updates, and tooling modifications.
*Utilise mould maintenance software to plan workload, track availability, and schedule servicing.
*Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements, including COSHH, PPE, and Safe Systems of Work.
*Contribute to mould improvement and modification projects to enhance performance and reliability.
*Ensure moulds are clean, safely stored, and prepared for scheduled production runs.
*Deliver and collect moulds or components from toolmakers or suppliers when required.
*Liaise with the Mould Engineering Manager on major repairs and long-term modifications
*Represent the company with professionalism, upholding its values and standards of conduct.
Requirements as a Mould Maintenance Technician:
*MIG and TIG welding experience.
*Familiarity with production/manufacturing environments.
*Fabrication skills (including use of lathes, mills, grinders etc).
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team or independently using own initiative.
*Ability to understand pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
*Physically fit, with manual handling awareness.
*Full UK driving licence.
*Forklift licence (preferred).
