Job Description:
Administrator
*Hourly Rate: £12.69 PAYE
*Location: LS1
*Job Type: Temporary, Hybrid
We are looking for a proactive Administrator to join our residential brokerage service team. This role supports social work colleagues in sourcing Older People’s residential placements, primarily focusing on facilitating timely discharges from health settings to support health system flow. The role is fast-paced and involves collaborating with multiple stakeholders to support the best outcomes. Due to expected service demand during peak hospital pressures, the team requires contingency support in completing administrative tasks.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide administrative support to the residential brokerage service and accurately record all administrative activity.
*Communicate with service providers and key stakeholders to facilitate timely discharges from hospital.
*Conduct data analysis and generate reports on service performance.
*Ensure effective placement into older people’s residential care.
*Develop and maintain productive relationships with providers and other key partners.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Ability to plan and organise work and manage workload effectively.
*Ability to progress identified tasks independently to achieve agreed objectives.
*Professional and sensitive communication skills, capable of dealing with customers, elected members, and others.
*Proficiency in using a range of software packages to support brokerage administration.
Knowledge required:
*Good literacy and numeracy skills.
*Basic understanding of health, support, or social care issues.
*Basic awareness of the Data Protection and Freedom of Information principles.
Experience required:
*Experience of delivering administrative support in a busy office with external contacts.
*Experience of working in partnership with others.
*Experience of organising and prioritising workloads to deliver work to set deadlines.
*Experience of communicating effectively with a range of people at all levels.
*Experience of developing or using databases to manage complex data and other information.
*Experience of producing information and reports using computer systems/software.
*Experience of communicating effectively and sensitively with customers, officers, elected members, or other organisations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*A Business and Administration qualification.
*Demonstrable experience in a similarly demanding environment.
*Ability to work under pressure to meet statutory deadlines and organise own workload.
*High attention to detail.
*Ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of professionals from Education, Health, Social Care, and Voluntary sectors.
*Awareness of safeguarding issues.
*Proven ability to use IT packages, including standard Microsoft Office software.
