Design Engineer Lecturer*Location: Kingston

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with a passion for teaching to join our Further Education establishment in Kingston as a Lecturer in Design Engineering. This role is ideal for professionals who are enthusiastic about imparting knowledge and fostering a learning environment that enhances students’ skills in engineering design.
Day-to-day of the role:*Deliver engaging and informative lessons covering a wide range of engineering design principles and practices.
*Teach topics including Computer-Aided Design (CAD), freehand sketching, isometric and orthographic projection, and various types of engineering drawings such as sectional, assembly, and general arrangement drawings.
*Explain complex drawing standards, types of lines, surface finishes, manufacturing details, and standard features like threads, bolts, and pins.
*Utilise CAD software to demonstrate modern engineering design techniques.
*Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and encourage critical thinking and innovation in design.
Required Skills & Qualifications:*Strong background in design engineering and technical drawing.
*Proficiency in CAD software and a thorough understanding of engineering standards.
*Ability to teach complex concepts in a clear, engaging, and accessible manner.
*Previous teaching or training experience is desirable but not essential.
