Job Description:
Contracts Manager
*Location: Huddersfield
*Job Type: Full-time, flexible working hours, remote working available
*Salary: up to £55,000
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Contracts Manager to join our clients team. This role is crucial for managing and providing specialist advice on all income and expenditure contracts within the organisation. The successful candidate will ensure robust contract governance, negotiate and develop contracts, and oversee contract management and reporting.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
*Contract Management: Ensure all services are covered by signed contracts, maintain an up-to-date register of contracts, and manage relationships with stakeholders including commissioners and subcontractors.
*Contract Governance: Implement and maintain procedures for contract development, negotiation, and monitoring. Ensure robust governance systems are in place for effective contract management.
*Contract Development and Negotiation: Lead the project management on contracts, support annual negotiations, and develop negotiation tactics and strategies. Work closely with senior managers to align stances and approaches.
*Contract Reporting: Develop systems for regular contract reviews and reporting. Provide detailed performance analysis and work with business units to address any issues or risks identified.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience: Significant contract management experience within a similar setting, ideally with exposure to NHS or public sector contracts.
*Education: Degree level education or equivalent experience in contracting, business development, or service improvement.
*Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent organisational and planning abilities, and proficient in Microsoft Office and complex Excel spreadsheets.
*Knowledge: Understanding of NHS contracting and ability to interpret national guidelines and directives.
