Practice Accountant
*Hourly Rate - £35-45/hr PAYE

Join a leading Business Services Firm specialising in consulting, technology, and outsourcing solutions. We are seeking a Fully Qualified Practice Accountant to support the acquisition of UK accountancy practices and drive business development to expand the firm’s footprint. This will be an interim assignment with the option of going permanent.
Day-to-day of the role:
Acquisition Support:
*Research and identify target practices meeting size, profitability, and compliance criteria.
*Maintain a pipeline of prospects and liaise with brokers.
*Assist in financial, tax, and legal due diligence; prepare summary reports.
*Support negotiations, draft offers, and coordinate transaction documentation.
*Manage completion formalities and post-acquisition integration including client transition and staff alignment.
Business Development:
*Conduct market research; recommend pricing and service models.
*Identify and onboard new UK clients.
*Ensure operational continuity post-acquisition and maintain client relationships.
Financial & Accountancy Services Outsourcing:
*Lead on general accountancy outsourcing services for clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified accountant (ACCA/ICAEW) with 2–3 years’ practice experience.
*Ideally experience of operating at Partner level within SME Chartered Accountancy Practices.
*Experience in business development and client acquisition.
