This is an excellent opportunity to join my client, a growing, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of establishing themselves as a market-leading team of design experts in the Water and wider Civil Engineering sectors. They are currently on the lookout for a talented, enthusiastic Senior Civil Engineer with demonstrable knowledge of drainage and non-infrastructure design who is willing and able to lead a team through their delivery of a number of challenging projects. You will be responsible for leading a keen team of design engineers, based on the outskirts of the lively, artsy city of Glasgow.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
*Delivering on an exciting range of projects and developments
*Leading a team of Civil Engineering professionals, providing mentorship and guidance as they develop within the company
*Overseeing a variety of aspects of engineering projects, delivering them to the highest of standards within agreed timescales and budgets
*Leading the delivery of a number of residential, commercial, and industrial projects
*Building and maintaining important professional relations with clients and other stakeholders from the public and private sectors
*Preparing and checking technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and more
*Enforcing company policies and procedures, ensuring all colleagues adhere to best practice
*Upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
*Delivering business development strategies, acting as a trusted company representative
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
*A UK Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a similar, relevant discipline
*Possess Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised Professional Body, or proactively working to attain this
*Extensive experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK consultancy setting
*Demonstrable experience of working with water-based projects
*Experience of detailed civil engineering design, particularly drainage systems and strategies
*Proficient in the use of various software packages (including Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)
*Considerable experience of preparing technical documents
*Prior experience of leading projects and/or teams
*Experience of managing client and stakeholder relations
*Good organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
*Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- A UK Master’s Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline
- Specific experience of working with non-infrastructure projects (such as reservoirs, pumping stations, etc.)
- Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
- Experience of Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS)
- Experience of working in a public-facing role
