Group Accountant
*Annual Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum (depending on years post qualified and industry experience)

Reed Finance are exclusively partnering with a dynamic and diverse real estate and investment group on the recruitment of a Group Accountant.
This is a crucial role for the business to enhance their finance team and is a pivotal role in managing complex accounting activities and consolidations.
This role will suit a Big Four or Top 10 practice trained Qualified Accountant who has demonstrated experience within complex multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations and strong systems and process improvement skills.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist in producing the main group and various subgroup consolidations, including complex or technical accounting treatments in line with relevant GAAPs.
*Prepare statutory financial statements for allocated subsidiaries and handle complex disclosures.
*Manage year-end audit queries and liaise with internal and external auditors.
*Serve as a system administrator for IBM Cognos Controller and a lead expert for IBM Planning Analytics.
*Prepare and update financial reports, manage intercompany reconciliations, and ensure accurate group accounting entries.
*Coordinate new entity setups in systems, manage documentation, and oversee user support for financial reporting tools.
*Review and prepare quarterly and annual consolidated management and statutory reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified ACA Big Four or Top 10 practice background with significant experience in group accounting.
*Proficient in UK GAAP/FRS 102, with experience in US GAAP and IFRS being advantageous.
*Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment and familiarity with audit processes.
*Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and familiarity with SAPA, IBM Cognos Controller, and IBM PAX.
*Experience in producing statutory accounts, handling complex consolidations, and understanding group restructuring, acquisitions, and merger accounting.
*Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
*Capable of working under tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
