Job Description:
A leading global law firm is looking for a Pricing and Commercial Analyst to join its London office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial decisions and commercial strategies within a forward-thinking Client Financial Decision Support team. Your expertise will directly influence the firm’s profitability, competitiveness, and client value proposition.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with Business Development and Client Relationship Partners to provide financial guidance on key client programmes.
* Respond to pricing requests by modelling financial impacts, assessing viability, and identifying opportunities for improved commercial support.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, delivering analysis that maximises client value through innovative pricing techniques.
* Assist partners in developing fee budgets and monitoring performance, particularly for alternative fee arrangements, while promoting effective project management.
* Support the Profitability Support Panel by preparing business cases for pricing proposals and presenting findings at quarterly meetings.
* Participate in annual rate reviews, ensuring profitability while considering market trends and cost factors.
* Promote adoption of pricing tools through presentations and training initiatives.
* Contribute to educational programmes that position pricing as a strategic tool for client relationships.
* Collaborate on commercial improvement projects across EMEA with Finance and Business Services teams.
* Develop and maintain pricing models for legal services and monitor their effectiveness
Key Requirements:
* Degree-level education and experience in pricing or commercial roles within professional services or B2B environments.
* Proven track record of finance business partnering with senior stakeholders.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience handling large datasets for complex analysis.
* Strong commercial acumen, analytical ability, and financial modelling expertise.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain finance concepts clearly.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under pressure.
* Collaborative team player with a transparent, straightforward approach.
* Experience working in cross-functional teams and fostering an inclusive environment.
