Outreach Staffing Solutions are working closely with a number of secondary schools in and around the Nottingham area who are seeking reliable, confident, and motivated Cover Supervisors to support classroom learning across KS3 and KS4.
This is an ideal opportunity for graduate teaching students or experienced Cover Supervisors with a strong interest in working within secondary education. The role offers hands-on classroom experience and the chance to build essential skills ahead of future teacher training or education pathways.
About the role & main responsibilities:
*Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes in the teacher’s absence
*Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
*Manage classroom behaviour in line with school expectations
*Support students with tasks and ensure work is completed to a high standard
*Work across a range of subjects and year groups, offering variety and valuable experience
*Implement the school’s behaviour policy firmly and fairly, managing minor incidents.
*Deal with any immediate emergencies or issues that arise, following school procedures.
*Adhere strictly to all school policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality.
Requirements of the role:
*Graduate teaching students or experienced Cover Supervisors
*Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills
*Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to school life
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
*Bachelors degree is desirable for this role
