Job Description:
Do you have experience working in a school setting and managing examinations? I am seeking an Examinations Officer to join a dynamic academy in Chafford Hundred. In this role, you will play a key part in organising and overseeing the smooth running of all examinations.
Actual Salary: £23,535 – £25,388.83
(38 weeks per year + 5 additional days outside term time, 32 hours per week)
Grade 5 (Outer London): £32,535 – £34,488 FTE
Plus: Performance & Loyalty Bonus | LGPS Pension Scheme | Harris Wellbeing Cash Plan | Additional Harris Benefits

Key Responsibilities
*Manage all public exams and internal assessments, including entries, timetables, and liaison with exam boards.
*Communicate exam board updates to staff and maintain an annual exam calendar.
*Recruit, train, and deploy invigilators within budget.
*Ensure secure handling of papers, scripts, and certificates.
*Organise support for students with special needs and process special consideration requests.
*Oversee exam room setup and equipment.
*Collect and distribute results, maintain accurate records, and manage student fees.
Qualifications & Experience
*GCSEs in English & Maths (or equivalent); degree preferred.
*Strong knowledge of exam systems, Microsoft Office, and the National Curriculum.
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in a school or similar setting.
*Skilled in data management and confident in recruiting/managing invigilators.
