Job Description:
My client are seeking a Account Manager to join their skilled team of Accountants, where you will manage a varied portfolio of clients and contribute to the strategic and operational development of the Accounts Team. This role offers the opportunity to train and manage junior team members and play a key role in client relationship management and service delivery.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage a diverse client portfolio, providing services including annual accounts, self-assessment tax, corporation tax, VAT, bookkeeping, and other specialist areas.
*Handle day-to-day client requests, supporting their business development and compliance needs.
*Oversee the work of Accounts Assistants, providing necessary support and training.
*Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
*Proactively support clients with their accounting and tax planning needs.
*Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions tailored to client needs and objectives.
*Produce and prepare accounts updates for clients and management.
*Review work completed by team members and communicate effectively with clients to ensure understanding of their financial performance and obligations.
*Monitor clients’ management accounts, explaining variances and planning opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Account Manager with excellent interpersonal skills.
*Strong understanding of accounting principles and client management.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Strong data collection and analysis skills.
*Ability to deliver client-focused solutions.
*Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
*Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
*ACCA, ACA, or qualified by experience.
