Are you passionate about innovation, problem-solving, and helping businesses unlock growth through tax incentives? We’re currently seeking an experienced R&D Tax professional to join a highly respected National Innovation Incentives Team as an Assistant Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients from start-ups and owner-managed businesses to multinational organisations, helping them maximise their R&D Tax Relief and Patent Box claims while making a genuine impact on their future development.

Your role as an R&D Tax Assistant Manager:
*Act as the main point of contact for your own portfolio of clients.
*Lead or co-lead the preparation and submission of R&D tax relief and Patent Box claims.
*Conduct detailed technical interviews to assess qualifying activities.
*Produce clear and robust technical reports aligned to UK DSIT guidelines.
*Analyse R&D incentive legislation to identify eligible projects and costs.
*Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for smaller to mid-scale assignments.
*Support business development initiatives and internal collaboration across service lines.
*Mentor junior team members, contributing to quality processes and knowledge sharing.
What you’ll need to succeed:
*3+ years’ experience preparing R&D tax claims within professional services or a similar environment.
*Strong technical understanding of UK R&D legislation.
*A relevant professional qualification or part-qualification (ATT, ACA, ACCA, CTA or similar).
*Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical information into clear business language.
*Confidence engaging with both finance and technical stakeholders.
