About the Role
We are seeking a Project & Financial Improvement Manager to lead and deliver high-value programmes that support organisational financial sustainability. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering an exciting opportunity to combine project management expertise (PRINCE2) with strong accountancy knowledge to drive cost improvement initiatives across the organisation.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior stakeholders, managing complex projects from scoping through to benefits realisation, ensuring robust governance and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead the identification, planning, and delivery of financial improvement projects across the organisation.
*Apply PRINCE2 methodology and best practice project management tools to ensure successful outcomes.
*Use advanced financial analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
*Prepare business cases, project documentation, and clear reporting for senior boards and stakeholders.
*Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and maintain accurate reporting to programme boards.
*Engage and influence multidisciplinary teams to secure ownership and deliver sustainable change.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
*PRINCE2 (or equivalent) Project Management Qualification
*Accountancy Qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
*Proven experience in financial improvement and project delivery within a complex organisation.
*Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
*Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable
*Experience within large-scale or regulated environments.
*Understanding of financial frameworks and benchmarking data.
