As Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering procurement strategies across a defined portfolio of suppliers. You will play a vital role in securing best value, strengthening supplier relationships and driving operational improvements. The Role
*Leading strategic sourcing and implementing category strategies
*Negotiating and managing long term contracts and framework agreements
*Driving supplier performance and development initiatives
*Analysing data to inform strategy, decision making and stakeholder engagement
*Working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver commercial goals
*Supporting continuous improvement across the supply chain
The Person
*Previous experience within a technical industrial role (Manufacturing, Electronics, Engineering, Marine, Rail, Aerospace etc)
*Excellent stakeholder management and influencing ability
*High resilience and the ability to work to demanding deadlines
*Desirable: knowledge of SAP
