Job Description:
Network Architect - Cisco/Meraki - Permanent - Hybrid
Hybrid working required on site in either Coventry or Huddersfield
Salary: £70,000 - 80,000 per annum
Network Architect required for a leading customer based across Coventry and Huddersfield. The Network Architect will be responsible for the design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise network infrastructure. Ability to lead projects from an architectural perspective as well as mentorship of junior engineers is essential for this position.
Key skills & responsibilities:
*Serve as the technical authority and escalation point for all network infrastructure.
*Strong experience with Cisco and Meraki
*Collaborate with architects to review, challenge, and enhance network architecture and documentation.
*Deliver hands-on engineering expertise, including site configuration, HLD/LLD design, and deployment support.
*Contribute to major roadmap initiatives such as Zero Trust Network Access, Network Access Control, and SD-WAN rollout.
*Own and maintain high-quality network documentation in Confluence for cross-team use.
*Design, implement, and manage complex enterprise networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, DMVPN, cloud, hybrid).
*Lead network transformation, migration, and multi-site/international rollout projects.
*Architect and deploy secure, multi-vendor network solutions (e.g., Cisco/Meraki).
*Optimise network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.
*Provide 3rd-line escalation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for critical incidents.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of network solutions.
*Produce and maintain design documentation, run books, and network diagrams.
*Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS) and internal security policies.
