CNC Setter
Location: Northampton
Salary: Up to £35,202
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:15pm (37.5 hours)
Benefits: Free onsite parking, company pension

A precision engineering and advanced manufacturing operation.
The Role
The client is willing to consider either a CNC Miller or a CNC Turner.
Responsibilities include:
*Set and operate CNC milling and CNC turning machines 3-, 4- and 5-axis where applicable
*Work from detailed engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components to tight tolerances
*Perform in-process inspections using measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and CMM
*Adjust tooling, offsets and machine parameters to ensure optimal cutting performance and part quality
*Machine free-issue parts including castings, forgings and fabrications, ensuring correct fixturing and process control
*Support continuous improvement through process optimisation and tooling improvements
*Maintain a clean, organised and safe workstation in line with company and industry standards
*Collaborate with the team leader, quality engineers and production planners to meet production deadlines
About You
*Strong background in CNC milling or CNC turning
*Confident in reading and interpreting technical and engineering drawings
*Experience working to tight tolerances and small batch work
*Online programming and ability to read G codes is desirable
*Experience with Fanuc controls
