Fleet and Equipment Maintenance Technician
*Location: 1 x Plymouth, 1 X Redruth
*Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking 2 dedicated Fleet and Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles and specialist equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations in accordance with legislation, Trust Policy, Vehicle Operators Service Agency standards, and manufacturers’ guidelines.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
*Conduct servicing, repairs, and maintenance of the Trust’s fleet and equipment to support the safety of patients and staff.
*Organise and contribute to the planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing, and repairs of vehicles and medical devices.
*Ensure all equipment operates effectively and safely with minimal downtime.
*Perform fault diagnosis and repair, including electrical/electronic issues and function testing.
*Communicate with various stakeholders to fully understand and address any faults or problems with the vehicles and equipment.
*Manage and prioritise daily work schedules, work unsupervised, and comply with Department of Health guidelines and relevant standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting.
*Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and medical devices.
*Ability to perform complex fault diagnosis and make informed decisions regarding repairs and maintenance.
*Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and working under pressure.
*Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2012 is advantageous.
