We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to provide comprehensive HR support across our company. This role is crucial for managing employee relations, formal procedures, and sickness absence management. The HR Manager will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, ensuring that legally compliant and fair HR practices are embedded throughout the organisation.
Job Purpose:
*Employee Relations: Manage end-to-end employee relations casework including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance concerns. Provide coaching and guidance to line managers on handling sensitive issues.
*Sickness Absence & Wellbeing Management: Lead on attendance management, manage long-term sickness cases, and support company-wide wellbeing initiatives.
*Line Management & Development of HR Team: Manage the HR team, ensuring effective prioritisation of workloads and supporting their professional development.
*HR Policy, Compliance & Employment Law: Ensure all HR practices comply with UK employment law and company policies. Maintain and update HR policies and procedural documents.
*HR Business Partnering & Stakeholder Support: Act as a trusted advisor to departmental managers, supporting operational and strategic objectives.
*Recruitment, Onboarding & Talent Development: Assist in recruitment processes and support employee development initiatives.
*Performance & Capability Management: Support managers during performance reviews and guide leaders through performance improvement plans.
*HR Administration, Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records and prepare various HR reports including absence trends and employee relations case summaries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum 5 years’ HR generalist experience in a corporate, fast-paced operational environment.
*Strong experience in managing employee relations cases such as disciplinaries and grievances.
*Solid understanding of UK employment law, ACAS guidelines, and best practice HR.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise, influence, and coach managers.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied case workload.
*CIPD Level 5+ qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
