Senior Casualty Underwriter
We are working closely with a global Insurance Company who are known for delivering innovation underwriting solutions. After many years of successful trading there is a need to source a Senior New Business Casualty Underwriterwhich can be based out of their offices in either Birmingham or Manchester.
As a Casualty Underwriter you will:
*Be responsible for working on some of the largest and most complex new business opportunities to provide excellent propositions to market
*Work with a small panel of key brokers to identify and track opportunity by buildings a dynamic pipeline of risks that fit underwriting appetite
*Work closely with Risk Control and Distribution to have a thorough understanding of the risks and gain commitment from partner brokers to work to convert opportunities.
*Provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues to develop not only their technical knowledge but their soft skills and confidence to trade.
As a Casualty Underwriter you will have:
*Detailed knowledge of Casualty Underwriting and excellent technical expertise and negotiation skills.
*Strong track record of new business trading in the local market.
*Strong analytical and problem solving skills
*Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound business decisions effectively.
As a Casualty Underwriter you will get:
*Annual Salary circa £65,000
