London Fire Brigade, one of our largest public sector clients in London are looking to recruit a Business Analyst on an initial 3-month contract with a view to extend if all goes well. The successful applicant will be joining the London Fire Commissioner’s team as a Business Analyst within the Strategic Planning section of the Transformation Directorate. This role is crucial in helping the Brigade define and achieve its vision through strategic planning and transformational initiatives. You will be instrumental in analysing and shaping the strategies that guide the Brigade’s operations and service delivery to the community.
Pay rate: £221.38 per day via PAYE or £288.24 per day via Umbrella
Duration: 3-Months, Full time, Hybrid work 1-2 days a week in the office
Key responsibilities:
*Analyse the structure, functions, and services within the Brigade to understand operations and objectives.
*Utilise business process modelling and other core business analysis techniques to analyse findings and suggest strategic and operational improvements.
*Assess opportunities, potential risks, and impacts of findings and recommendations, including the impact of equalities and diversity.
*Produce accurate and engaging written documentation and presentations to report findings.
*Identify problems, knowledge gaps, and data discrepancies, proposing viable solutions.
*Stay updated with industry best practices and trends, integrating relevant insights into the Brigade’s strategies.
*Lead Business Analysis work within the Strategic Planning team, providing expertise and specialist knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong capability in business process modelling and data analysis.
*Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
*Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
*Knowledge of equalities and diversity impacts in business analysis.
