Job Description:
Examinations Officer
We are seeking a dedicated Examinations Officer to provide an efficient and responsive examinations service to students and staff. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with examining body regulations and supporting the academic journey of our students.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Support and advise the Head of Centre on examining body regulations and requirements.
*Provide timely and accurate advice to staff and students regarding examination procedures and arrangements.
*Manage the entry of students for examinations and registration for qualifications, adhering to awarding bodies’ deadlines.
*Oversee the arrangements for the charging and collection of examination fees through electronic payment systems.
*Ensure the examination schedule is well publicised among staff and students.
*Distribute up-to-date information to students about examination board regulations and guidelines.
*Coordinate all relevant documentation for coursework and practical/oral examinations.
*Maintain the security of examination materials and oversee the distribution of papers and materials at the appointed times.
*Manage the arrangements for issuing results and distributing examination certificates.
*Support senior management in handling cases of malpractice and in the development of examination policies and practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in an examinations officer role or similar administrative position within an educational setting.
*Strong understanding of examination board regulations and requirements.
*Excellent organisational and coordination skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of staff and students.
*Ability to use electronic payment and registration systems.
