Cleaning/Housing Supervisor
*Job Type: Temporary, Full-time
*Locations: Various locations across Manchester including Newton Heath, City Centre, Gorton, Tameside, Longsight, Didsbury, Airport, Prestwich, Salford, Openshaw, and Claytonbrook
*Duration: 3 months (likely to extend)
*Pay: £ 15.84 per hour PAYE
A Local Authority is seeking 5 experienced Cleaning Supervisors to oversee multiple sites across Manchester. This role is ideal for individuals who are skilled in managing teams and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety across various locations.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Motivate staff and ensure cleaning standards are consistently met across all assigned sites.
*Manage staff, including conducting inductions, training, and handling attendance and performance issues.
*Maintain and order stock/supplies, organise rotas, and arrange cover for holidays and sickness.
*Conduct regular site visits to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to cleaning standards.
*Liaise with staff, other line managers, and senior managers within the organisation to ensure smooth operations.
*Carry out safety checks on equipment and work areas, reporting any defects or faults.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly around COSHH requirements and the safe use of equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in a supervisory role within the cleaning or housekeeping industry.
*Strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
*Excellent understanding of the English language, both verbal and written.
*Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly COSHH.
*Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle with insurance for business purposes.
*Ability to travel to various sites as required.
