Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centre Project
Contract: 9 months
Start Date: January
Rate: £500 per day
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-value data centre project. This role will take full responsibility for the mechanical package from delivery and handover, ensuring commercial, programme, and safety objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
*Full responsibility for end-to-end delivery of the mechanical scope
*Cost validation, budget assessment, and ongoing cost control
*Ownership of financial performance, including forecasting and reporting
*Management of P&L performance for the project
*Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and acting as a key duty holder
*Leading and managing the site management team and subcontractors
*Programme management and coordination with client, consultants, and internal teams
*Risk identification, mitigation, and value engineering where appropriate
*Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance
Requirements
*Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on complex M&E projects
*Strong commercial and financial management capability
*Solid understanding of CDM regulations and health & safety obligations
*Ability to lead site teams and manage multiple stakeholders
*Previous data centre project experience advantageous
This is an excellent long-term contract opportunity for a commercially strong Mechanical Project Manager looking to deliver a technically complex project.
