Site Assistant
*Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week)
*Location: Reading, UK
*Salary: Temp to Permanent. Pay from £100-£120 per day.
A dedicated and reliable Site Assistant is needed to join a supportive team, ensuring that the educational institution remains a clean, safe, and well-maintained space for students, staff, and visitors.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Support the upkeep, maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the site.
*Open and close the buildings on a rotational basis (6:30am opening, 6:00pm closing).
*Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
*Assist with site security and health & safety procedures.
*Set up rooms and spaces for events and activities.
*Work flexibly to accommodate the needs of the institution.
*Maintain a basic understanding of Health and Safety, COSHH, and Building Control.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
*Good team player with a positive attitude.
*Basic maintenance and DIY skills are desirable.
*Willingness to adapt to the needs of the institution, including occasional flexibility with working hours.
