We are working with an ambitious and friendly primary school in Worthing who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children, wants to make a real impact, and is excited to develop within a school environment. No degree required. Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential—enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive attitude are key!
About the roleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting teachers and helping pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Daily duties include:
*Providing one-to-one or small group support
*Assisting teachers with lesson planning, preparation and delivery
*Supporting pupils with their learning, development, and behaviour
*Helping prepare and organise classroom resources
*Offering feedback to teachers to support pupil progress
*Assisting with extracurricular activities where required
This role is perfect for someone who is nurturing, patient, and keen to help children reach their full potential.
The ideal candidate will have:*A passion for working with children
*Strong communication and rapport-building skills
*A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
*Good numeracy and literacy skills
*Experience with children (school, tutoring, youth work, babysitting, sports coaching, etc.) is a bonus, not essential
