Job Description:
Job Purpose
The Warehouse Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for managing daily dispatch operations to ensure goods are shipped accurately, on time, and efficiently. This role leads the dispatch team, oversees workload planning, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Shift times: Core 8am - 5pm (There will be some early and lates 6am - 3pm or 10am - 7pm)
Key Responsibilities
Dispatch Operations Management
*Supervise the dispatch team to ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
*Plan and coordinate daily dispatch activities, allocating resources effectively.
*Oversee vehicle loading, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety protocols.
*Monitor courier and transport performance, resolving issues promptly.
Leadership & Team Management
*Lead, coach, and motivate the dispatch team to achieve operational excellence.
*Conduct daily briefings and support ongoing training and development.
*Manage staff performance, attendance, and engagement.
*Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
Inventory & Systems Control
*Ensure accurate stock allocation and minimize dispatch errors.
*Utilize WMS to track orders and monitor dispatch performance.
*Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance
*Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company SOPs.
*Conduct regular safety checks on warehouse areas and equipment.
*Keep accurate documentation and digital records for audits and reporting.
Continuous Improvement
*Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
*Support projects aimed at enhancing productivity and meeting KPIs.
Skills & Experience Required
*Proven experience in warehouse dispatch, logistics, or distribution in a 3PL environment.
*Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
*Strong understanding of dispatch processes and transport requirements.
*Proficiency with WMS systems and general IT skills.
*Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
*Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
