Job Description:
Are you an experienced KS1 Teacher looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? We are working with a supportive primary setting in Ipswich that caters for pupils with SEMH and learning/cognitive needs, many of whom are at risk of exclusion or transitioning back to mainstream education.
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Long-term, with potential to become permanent if you wish although not essential
About the Role:*KS1 class with small groups (5–6 pupils max)
*Mixed ability learners – some working at expected levels, others below
*Planning is already in place for the first term
*You’ll work alongside another KS1 teacher and a strong team of 2 TAs per class
*Focus on supporting pupils through transitions and helping secure EHCPs where needed
*All permanent staff are Team Teach trained
*Pupils may display challenging behaviour, so an understanding of SEMH is essential

*Resilience and a nurturing approach
*Ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated team
