Job Description:
A public service broadcaster is seeking a skilled Employee Relations Advisor to join their team and deliver specialist ER advisory services within a shared service centre environment. This role is pivotal in providing expert guidance, managing complex queries, and ensuring compliance with policy and process across the organisation.
As part of the Service Centre, you will work closely with managers and stakeholders to resolve issues, interpret data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
This is an initial 3-month contract with a start date in January, the role is based in their Birmingham office and offers hybrid working (1 or 2 days a week in the office). The hourly rate for this position is up to £24 per hour via PAYE + holiday and benefits (Umbrella rates also available).
Key Responsibilities
*Provide specialist ER advice and query resolution to employees and managers at all levels, in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
*Problem-solve complex or escalated employee relations issues, offering practical and compliant solutions.
*Analyse data from HR systems to identify trends, provide insights, and make recommendations for improvement.
*Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with data protection principles.
*Support ER projects and initiatives across the shared service centre.
*Contribute to a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
*Up-to-date knowledge of Employee Relations best practice and relevant employment law.
*CIPD Level 3 Certificate in HR Practice (or equivalent) or Associate CIPD membership.
*Experience working with HR case management systems and strong IT skills.
*Ability to analyse complex information and provide clear, informed advice.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Previous experience in a shared service centre or centralised HR team.
Personal Attributes:
*Highly credible with strong stakeholder management skills.
*Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy.
*Flexible, pragmatic, and motivated to achieve the right outcomes.
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
