We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join an outstanding secondary school starting January 2026. This role involves teaching, planning, and marking, offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the academic development of students. This is a long term temporary opportunity but could be permanent for the right person with leadership opportunities.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to secondary school students according to the curriculum.
*Plan lessons and prepare teaching materials that cater to different learning abilities within the class.
*Mark and assess students’ work, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
*Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
*Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and school training events.
*Continuously update teaching practices and materials in response to new research and educational approaches.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Proven experience in teaching Maths at the secondary level.
*Strong understanding of the current curriculum and teaching methods for Maths.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.
*Commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
