Part time Year 6 Teacher (Wed, Thur, Friday afternoons)

We are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive school in Lancaster for three afternoons per week. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and effective behaviour management skills. The position is covering the head teacher who usually teachers on Wed, Thur and Fri afternoons.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of Year 6 students, ensuring alignment with the KS2 curriculum.
*Utilise strong behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
*Prepare students for SATs, employing effective revision strategies and practice assessments.
*Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
*Collaborate with other teaching staff to share best practices and resources.
*Participate in school meetings and professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and educational knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
*Proven experience in a similar role, with strong behaviour management skills.
*Experience with SATs preparation is beneficial.
*Ability to assess student progress effectively and make necessary adjustments to teaching strategies.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering a positive learning environment.
