Our client, a Greater Manchester Council, is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Assessment & Support Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
*Undertake statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989 (Sections 17 & 47).
*Identify and manage risks to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
*Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
*Work directly with children and families to understand their circumstances and provide support.
*Collaborate with multi-agency partners, attending Child Protection Conferences, Core Groups, and Looked After Reviews.
*Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings and represent the local authority when required.
*Respond to crisis situations, including emergency protection measures.
*Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with statutory timescales.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
