Assistant Management Accountant
*Annual Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 plus study support offered
*Location: Chester
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Potential for hybrid working after probation)
We are currently working with a market-leader in Chester that is keen to expand their team and add a Assistant Management Accountant to their ranks. We’re looking for someone who’s either AAT qualified, qualified by experience (QBE), or currently part-qualified in CIMA that has a continuous-growth mindset that wants to continue developing as an Accountant.
What You’ll Be Doing:
*Preparing monthly management accounts
*Handling month-end duties such as accruals, prepayments, and asset depreciation.
*Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
*Ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
*Contributing to budget preparation and financial forecasts.
*Overseeing and supporting team with their daily tasks.
*Analysing financial information to recommend efficient resource use and procedures.
*Helping set goals for the department.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
*AAT Level 4 qualified – Happy to look at QBE
*Has previous experience in Management Accounts – Specifically around Month End duties
*Ideally experience of working within a Manufacturing organisation
*Technically strong – Advanced Excel skills (V Lookups, Pivot Tables etc)
*Has a continuous-growth mindset and is naturally inquisitive
