Learning Support Assistant - Behaviour Support - KS1/KS2 - Haringey A vibrant and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Haringey is seeking a confident and resilient Learning Support Assistant to support children across KS1 and KS2 with behavioural needs. This Learning Support Assistant role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, patient, and skilled in helping pupils regulate their emotions and re-engage with learning.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCO, classroom teachers and the pastoral team to support pupils who may present with emotional dysregulation, social difficulties, or challenging behaviour. You will play a vital role in helping them succeed both academically and emotionally.
Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
* Supporting KS1/KS2 pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.

* Providing 1:1 support and small-group interventions.

* Implementing behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.

* Supporting pupils to remain focused, safe and engaged in learning.

* Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO and external agencies.

* Contributing to a positive, nurturing school environment.

Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting behaviour in a school setting is highly desirable.

* Psychology graduates and candidates with behaviour mentoring backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

* Ability to remain calm, confident and assertive when supporting challenging behaviours.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

* Contract: Full-time, long-term

* Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
