Are you passionate about shaping the future of skilled trades and inspiring learners to achieve their potential? We are seeking a dedicated Joinery Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and learning within a secure Prison Education setting.
Key Responsibilities:*Deliver engaging and practical lessons in Joinery and Carpentry, tailored to meet diverse learner needs.
*Plan, prepare, and assess learning materials to ensure learners achieve qualifications and develop employability skills.
*Embed English and Maths into vocational sessions to support holistic learning.
*Maintain accurate records of learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
*Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and equality policies.
*Support learners in developing confidence, resilience, and transferable skills for progression into employment or further study.
What We’re Looking For:*A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve this within 12 months).
*Relevant subject specialist qualification in Joinery/Carpentry.
*Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualification.
*Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery and Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry.
*Formal Level 3 Joinery qualification (essential).
*Hold QTS/QTLS or be committed to working towards this within a specified timeframe (applies to Teachers in YOI only).
