Job Description:

The Role
The role sits at the heart of the governance function. You’ll help design, maintain, and embed governance frameworks, coordinate senior-level committees, lead due diligence activity, and ensure regulatory expectations—particularly around FCA requirements—are met.
This is a broad, varied, and highly collaborative role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across the business and influencing governance behaviours.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Framework Management
*Maintain and enhance governance frameworks, policies, and registers
*Oversee governance calendars, review cycles, and escalation routes
*Ensure governance standards are applied consistently across all functions
Committee Secretariat Duties
*Coordinate Board and Risk Committee meetings
*Prepare agendas, forward plans, and meeting packs
*Produce formal minutes and track actions to completion
*Maintain accurate, compliant records in SharePoint
Due Diligence & External Engagement
*Lead due diligence processes for clients and third-party partners
*Act as the point of contact for audits and external assurance reviews
*Support RFP processes and wider governance assurance
Regulatory Guidance & Assurance
*Maintain regulatory evidence packs (e.g., Consumer Duty, Risk Management Framework)
*Support responses to partner and regulatory assurance queries
Education & Stakeholder Support
*Guide teams on governance and compliance expectations
*Support Executive members with governance documentation and processes
Document Control & Quality Assurance
*Maintain consistent templates and governance documentation
*Support business areas in drafting and updating procedures
What We’re Looking For
*Minimum 2+ years’ experience in governance, compliance, or business operations
*Experience supporting Board-level meetings, including formal minute-taking
*Strong understanding of corporate governance principles
*Due diligence experience
*Familiarity with FCA regulations
*Excellent organisation, planning, and attention to detail
*Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
*Proficiency with SharePoint, Confluence, and document management systems
*Degree in Governance, Law, Business Management or similar (desirable)
