Temporary Bookkeeper - Part Time/Fully Remote (After 2/3 days office training)

Purpose of Role:

To provide accurate and timely bookkeeping support for multiple clients, ensuring compliance and high-quality service during the temporary assignment.
Key Responsibilities
*Perform bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and daily transaction processing.
*Maintain accurate financial records and data management, verifying balances and resolving discrepancies.
*Prepare invoices, bills, and assist with reporting on debtors/creditors.
*Support senior finance staff with ad-hoc tasks such as budgets and statements.
*Ensure deadlines are met and communicate progress to managers and clients as required.
*Use accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and maintain accurate records in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience
*Proven experience in bookkeeping within an accountancy or multi-client environment.
*Strong knowledge of VAT, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
*Proficient in accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and comfortable learning new systems.
*Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail.
*Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications
*AAT qualification desirable but not essential.
*Willingness to undertake training if required.
Duration & Expectations
2-4 weeks due to unexpected absence
Part Time Hours available up to 3 days a week/flexible hours between 9-5.
