Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a role with real responsibility? Our client is seeking a Senior Finance Assistant to act as the right hand to the Finance Manager, ensuring the smooth running of all financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
*Generate and process weekly sales invoices and credit notes in line with company procedures.
*Maintain accurate customer records and update the sales ledger.
*Reconcile accounts and bank statements, ensuring all transactions are correct.
*Proactively manage debt collection and resolve customer queries promptly.
*Handle banking tasks, including reconciliations and receipt management.
*Set up new customers, products, and pricing structures.
*Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, including aged debt analysis and performance insights.
*Post journals, make adjustments, and help prepare accounts to trial balance.
*Complete balance sheet reconciliations and support management accounts preparation.
What We’re Looking For
*Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and VAT regulations.
*Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
*Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
*Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
