HR Manager – UK & Europe
Location: Winnersh, Reading (Hybrid)
Salary: £60-70,000 per annum dependent on experience
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact? We’re partnering with a global organisation to recruit their first dedicated HR Manager for the UK and Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the People & Culture function in a growing region and play a pivotal role in building HR infrastructure from the ground up.
About the Role
As HR Manager, you’ll act as the trusted partner for employees and leaders across the UK and Europe, delivering both operational and strategic HR support. From employee relations and compliance to talent acquisition and engagement initiatives, this role offers incredible variety and scope.
You’ll work closely with global People & Culture teams to ensure consistency while tailoring HR programs to local needs. As the business expands, this position will evolve into a leadership role with responsibility for managing a small HR team.
Key Responsibilities
*Act as the primary HR contact for UK and European employees across the full employee lifecycle
*Implement HR policies and practices aligned with UK and EU employment law
*Partner with global teams on talent acquisition and onboarding
*Manage employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes
*Oversee HR operations including payroll coordination, benefits administration, and compliance
*Drive culture-building initiatives and employee engagement programs
*Support organisational growth, including integration of new business units and M&A activity
About You
*7+ years of progressive HR experience, including generalist exposure
*Experience supporting global organisations with EU offices
*Strong knowledge of UK employment law and working understanding of EU legislation
*Proven ability to build HR infrastructure in a growing business (start up/scaling environment)
*Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels
*Comfortable working onsite 3 days per week in Winnersh, Reading, with occasional EU/US travel
