About the RoleThis exciting apprenticeship opportunity is based in an Outstanding and highly supportive primary school in Reading, where the team is warm, welcoming, and committed to developing new talent. The school is looking for two enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistants to join their community from May 2025:
*1 x Key Stage 1 Apprentice TA
*1 x Key Stage 2 Apprentice TA
As an apprentice, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils across the classroom, helping to raise attainment and ensuring every child can reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups during lessons
*Assisting with planning and delivering engaging learning activities
*Helping pupils with their educational and behavioural development
*Preparing and organising classroom resources
*Providing feedback to teachers and parents
*Assisting with extracurricular activities such as clubs or revision sessions

The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is:
*Enthusiastic and passionate about supporting children’s learning
*Equipped with confident numeracy and literacy skills
*Able to build positive relationships and strong rapport with pupils
*Able to commit to a minimum 12-month apprenticeship programme
*Not currently enrolled in another government-funded course
*Available during school holidays to complete the required 20 hours of online training each half-term
