Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We’re working with a leading manufacturer seeking an experienced Mechanically Biased engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and driving continuous improvement.
*Working hours: Monday to Thursday - 06:00 to 14:00, Friday - 06:00 to 11:00
What You’ll Be Doing
*Diagnose and repair faults across a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
*Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
*Support continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.
*Work on mechanical tasks including turning, milling, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and fabrication.
*Maintain accurate maintenance records and uphold health & safety standards.
*Collaborate with production teams to optimise machine performance.
What We’re Looking For *Engineering qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
*Time-served engineer with 10+ years’ experience post-apprenticeship.
*Strong mechanical background; experience in high-speed manufacturing (FMCG or automotive preferred).
*Knowledge of steel packaging machinery and some knowledge of electrical maintenance (PLC fault finding) is advantageous.
*Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
*Flexible and adaptable approach.
