Teaching Assistant – Primary Education (Years 2–4)
Location: Torton, Kidderminster
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Term Time Only
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £22,102.72 – £24,103.93 actual annual salary (£12.37 – £13.49 per hour)
About the Role

We are working with a specialist school set in a stunning 20-acre site with modern classrooms and dedicated facilities, including a brand-new Science and Technology building. The school combines the best elements of mainstream education with specialist and therapeutic input, supporting young people with SEMH needs and associated challenging behaviour linked to Autism Spectrum Conditions.

Key Responsibilities
*Support children in Years 2–4 with their learning and wellbeing in small classes (up to 8 students)
*Build strong, supportive relationships to help students reach their full potential
*Assist with positive behaviour management and tailored approaches for individual needs
*Promote independence and personal development while maintaining high expectations
*Support the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum
*Participate in care routines and physical intervention when required
What We’re Looking For
*GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) – essential
*Experience in an education setting
*Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
*Experience working with SEMH learners and challenging behaviour
*Positive, creative, and committed to putting the child first
*Full clean driving licence
Desirable:
*Working towards Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools or equivalent

*Monday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
*Tuesday–Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
