Role: HR Advisor
Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire
Salary: £24,000 - £27,000
Contract: Full time, permanent
We are partnering with a dynamic and growing organisation seeking a proactive HR Assistant to support the daily operations of the HR team. This multifaceted role provides hands-on experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, and compliance. Key Responsibilities
HR Administration
*
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team.
*
Maintain accurate employee records, both digital and paper-based, including absence, leave, and sickness data.
*
Update and manage employee information in HR systems.
*
Respond to internal and external HR queries.
*
Assist with HR reporting and maintaining compliance documentation.
Recruitment & Onboarding
*
Support the full recruitment cycle: sourcing candidates, screening applications, and coordinating interviews.
*
Prepare offer letters, contracts, and complete pre-employment checks.
*
Organise onboarding activities and induction schedules for new hires.
*
Manage and respond to reference requests.
Employee Support & Communication
*
Assist with HR meetings, events, and internal communications, including minute-taking.
*
Support the delivery of HR training sessions, workshops, and development programmes.
*
Promote positive communication between employees, HR, and management.
Payroll, Health & Safety, and Additional Support
*
Collaborate with Finance to process payroll changes.
*
Provide administrative support for Health & Safety and First Aid processes.
*
Contribute to HR projects and departmental initiatives as required.
*
Stay up to date with HR best practices, employment law, and data protection standards.
Professional Expectations

Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional standards.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask under pressure.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
*
Self-motivated, proactive, and aligned with organisational values.
*
Flexible and willing to occasionally work outside standard hours.
